Yet when life gets in the way, and it usually does in the form of anxiety and stress, illness and pain, homeostasis may be disrupted and cause trouble in the body systems.
Today it is no secret that our body’s ability to cope with life’s stressors is especially important since stress can lead to illnesses. Taking time to check in with your body is so important.
When we work with your body we are able to impact both your mental and physical health. A healthy body system helps lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, and fatigue, while improving digestion, sleep, pain management, and cognitive functions like memory and attention, as well as strengthening your immune system and stress tolerance.
I apply gentle touch body work to help release pain, discomfort and restrictions while enabling the opportunity, should you choose, to work with negative emotions and trauma.
During each session we work to help your body self-correct, self-regulate, and self-heal so you can attend to your everyday life with a well-balanced body.
